Somehow the German Tonzonen labels continually finds great psychedelic and space rock bands. Speck is one of them. Unknown to me until a few days ago I suspect this Austrian band will see a larger audience shortly.

Not that long ago I came across reference to this young band from Iceland - of all places. I spent a small fortune buying their two albums on vinyl and I was more than pleasantly surprised. I didn't realize that their albums were also released in Chile on Mylodon Records.

Eldberg's debut came out in 2011. It took this Icelandic band four years to come out with their sophomore release, Par Er Heimur Hugans. Was it worth the wait? Hell yeah! Guitar amps are turned up a notch and that great Hammond organ sound is present.
