This one fell out of the sky and hit me like a ton of bricks. If any of you watch 4FF on the Sea Of Tranquility Youtube channel you might have heard a discussion about this album and I have to say its something special.

"Sailing back into the world of classic neo-prog is a dangerous voyage for any band. Many have tried but most crash against the rocks of hackneyed ideas and the slavish adherence to sounds of days gone by.

Seattle based Moon Letters' 2019 debut "Until They Feel The Sun" was a bit of a revelation for us. Three years later the band has released their sophomore album "Thank You From The Future" and its a bit different. While its definitely a prog rock album its a bit less retro sounding.

Totally unknown instrumentral trio from Brazil consisting of Alayr Júnior (drums), Jameson Trezena (bass), and Emerson Ribas (guitar). They have zero social media presence or even a webpage. All I can tell you is these guys shred like nobody's business.

This Seattle based prog band was unknown to me until the announcement that they would be a featured artist at Rosfest in 2020. Of course I had to check them out and I was in for a big surprise. This is old school prog right in my wheelhouse.

Looking Glass Lantern is the nom de guerre for multi-instrumentalist Graham Dunnington. This is his fourth album. Like the previous outings this is full on retro-prog. Musically I'm reminded quite a bit of Steve Hackett's solo work but with an injection of Victorian/steam punk flavor.

"Exciting to have yet another release from the (I think) excellent Thank You Scientist (and I'll take just an EP), and exciting to come to a release that has been so well received here (a weighted 4.55/5.00 average from 24 ratings when I got here).

Many years ago we released a beautiful album called Darker from Swiss prog band Dawn. The band hasn't been very active but they have graced us with a vinyl single which hopefully gives us an idea where the band is headed. If you are a Mellotron freak there is much to enjoy here!

The band's fourth album finds them evolving. From the triple fold out cover you immediately know something was different. They have added a fourth member - a keyboardist - and with his presence the band has shifted their sound slightly into a more traditional space rock sound.

"REVERB! It’s one of my favorite effects. I’ve tried a few different pedals and played with some built-in amp reverb. With each unique sound, my obsession grows, and I want to collect them all like Pokémon.

"I would be happy to just write a complete song one day, to come up with an original riff, and have my wife sing/play piano. Nothing crazy, just one complete original song. It’s hard though. Then, you have King Buffalo who write not one, but three full-length albums in one year.
