So Mandalaband breaks up after their first album. Most of the band reforms as Sad Cafe, but leader David Rohl retained the rights to the name. He took the Mandalaband concept into a slightly different direction. He put together an all-star lineup and created a rock opera of sorts.

Underrated symphonic prog band from the UK. Many years later I saw Mandalaband guitarist Ashley Mulford play with Sad Cafe. His playing was jaw dropping. Some incredible guitarwork on display here as well.
