One of the last solid Embryo albums before they went off the rails on a Middle Eastern musical caravan. Perhaps only marred by unfortunate cover artwork. Has 3 bonus tracks.

With Charlie Mariano onboard, Embryo move further into jazz rock territory but with a lot of the krautrock/psychedelic element intact. The CD features 20 minutes of bonus material.

"Really fine set from Embryo, recorded in a town near Munich sometime in February, 1976. Very much a product of their jazz rock phase, Live will appeal to fans of We Keep On, Surfin', Bad Heads and Bad Cats, Apo-Calypso, and their contributions to the Umsonst and Draussen festivals.

CD features a 20 minute bonus track.

"Two years after their masterpiece "We Keep On", "Surfin" is Embryo's second release for BASF. It's a much more accessible album, focusing on songwriting and funky grooves rather then the experimental jams of old.

"EMBRYO are an acquired taste but once you have the taste you just can not get enough. In my days of expanding my music collection into the more obscure I snagged a copy of EMBRYO's live recording from their golden era (1971) and man I still have not recovered.

We were first to release this magnificent album on CD but our edition has been out of print for years. GoD subsequently reissued it (I presume from the master tapes) with extensive liner notes.

Second album from this German progressive rock band. It was recorded sometime after Fading Beauty as the band found themselves on the up and coming Sky label. The music had a slightly harder edge but the symphonic elements were still present.

Amazing archival release from Garden Of Delights. Gila was one of the greatest of the 70s German prog bands. They were led by guitarist Conny Veit who also played with Popol Vuh and Guru Guru. This is a radio broadcast from Cologne, Germany on 2/26/72.
$16.00 -
One of the essential early German prog albums. If you are fan of Agitation Free, Popol Vuh, and Between you must own this.
$16.00 -
Second album by the krautrock band led by guitarist Conny Veit. Essentially this album bears little resemblance to the debut. With a new lineup consisting of mostly Popol Vuh members, the music shows a strong affinity for that laid back mystical folky sound. A great one.

First time on CD. This is the third album for Missus Beastly and their first for April (later Schneeball) Records. Originally released in 1976, it is full on high energy fusion with just a touch of funk cropping up now and then. Flute and sax share leads with electric keyboards.
$16.00 -
Previously unreleased live session from this phenomenal, but sadly overlooked, German jazz rock band.

Dark and evil masterpiece from the German underground originally released in 1972. Considered to be perhaps the rarest German prog album it has seen a series of reissues - some legit and some not. This reissue courtesy of Garden Of Delights features four bonus tracks.

Oddly the Release Music Orchestra catalogue has never been reissued on CD. One of the few remaining from the Brain catalogue that seems to be ignored. They started out as an extension of Tomorrow's Gift. Their initial album was one part jazz rock/one part kraut rock.

"Judging by the number of excellent recent releases, Radio Bremen must have been quite a treasure for European music lovers back in the 70s. This CD is a prime example.

I can always rely on Tom "Ashratom" Hayes to dig in and give us the goods:

This is the second album from the German jazz rock ensemble. Sunbirds was actually an extension of the Klaus Weiss Quartet. Weiss was a very respected drummer on the German jazz scene, recording countless sessions with US and European players.

You can definitely hear the Leprous influence but I'm also hearing the melodic sensibility of Circus Maximus. Good stuff!
