Wonderful collection of Wolf People's 2005-2007 singles tracks that they recorded for the Battered Ornaments label. A bit low-fi in spots its like looking through a time portal into Britain circa 1969. The band's stock in trade is guitar and flute driven psychedelia with blues underpinnings.

Quirky but accessible release from this San Francisco large scale ensemble. These guys and girls are slightly off the wall but its very melodic stuff with plenty of twists and turns. I'm sure this is incredible to see live.

"If anything, resolute and constant guitarist Axel Rudi Pell is prolific and consistent. Largely, this is due to the simple fact that he lives and breaths guitar playing. Pell regularly, even daily, practices and writes new material. The result is his 14th studio album, Circle of the Oath.

At this point Ash Ra Tempel was essentially Manuel Gottsching as a solo artist. Starring Rosi followed the seminal Inventions For Electric Guitar album and featured Gottsching's girlfriend Rosi Muller. Expect spaced out vocals over a looping bed of guitars and electronics.

Fifth album from this Finnish female fronted gothic metal band and first one in seven years. These guys and girl have definitely been listening to Lacuna Coil in the interim. The band's game is a catchy melodic hooked filled metal/rock mix.

Third album from this up and coming French band. Kells is fronted by Virginie Goncalves, yet another in the seemingly endless stream of gorgeous front women with a voice that matches the looks (I think they cultivate these women on a secret farm).

Three CD set is culled from the now out of print Silver Edition. This material is all drawn from the 1992-1993 period. From my experience, the work from the 90s was a bit uneven. Some of it is brilliant and some of it is too much computer driven (for my personal taste). YMMV.

New edition of this long out of print title. This was Novalis' last hurrah as a pure prog band. Its a concept album about a whale set loose by the whaler that captured him. There are some high spots on the album but I think the band was pretty much past their sell-by date at this point.
