Excellent new project from keyboardist Mike Jobborn. He enlisted Herd Of Instinct Warr guitarist Mark Cook as well as Gayle Ellett of Djam Karet on Hammond organ and Mellotron. I'm not familiar with British guitarist Suzi James but she fits in quite nicely.

"For those who still believe prog is a four-letter word, Caravan remain a mystery - More fool them, for they are missing out on some of the sweetest and most tuneful melodies in 70s rock, whether it be the jazz- inflected vaudeville of the title track of If I Could Do It All Over Again, I'd Do I

"In an era where to be progressive seems to equate to adhering to a formula laid down somewhere around 1974, Earthside are part of a small community of artists who take the term at face value, imbuing their music with a genuine sense of ambition and high drama.

"In 2012, 12 years after it was founded, the Freising quintet RPWL ventured into their first concept album. 'Beyond Man And Time' was a musical journey through the world outside of Plato's cave - and the first chart entry of Germany's best art rock band.

One of the rarest US prog albums gets an official reissue. I actually once saw a copy of this superb album hanging on the wall of a NJ record shop. I nearly choked when I saw the price. I didn't pull the trigger that day and I'm still sorry. Highly recommended.

As many of you may (or may not) know I'm a crazy vinyl collector. A few years ago I picked up the buzz on this album by Argentinian composer/musician Luis Vecchio. So I paid a small fortune for the album and it blew me away.

"The new live album by PFM – Premiata Forneria Marconi “THE EVENT – Live in Lugano” (Aereostella) is out with the participation of two special guests: Matteo Mancuso, undisputed guitar star and Luca Zabbini, leader of the Barock Project, at the hammond organ, keyboards and vocals.

Yet another quality RPI band. Seems like they grow on trees over in Italy. Apparently Cormorano has been around since the mid-70s and have now reformed to record. I think we've heard that story before and to be honest they usually seem to work out well for some reason.

New band with an old school sound. Il Porto Di Venere is an offshoot from Moongarden - Cristiano Roversi is playing keyboards here. Lots of acoustic and electric violin - a nice touch and something different for a change.

Syndone continues to put out great albums. They may well be my favorite band on the Fading Records label. The band is led by keyboardist Nick Comoglio who isn't afraid to show off. Vocalist Riccardo Ruggeri has the operatic sound down.

Debut release from this promising nine piece ensemble from France. Audio'm feature a female lead vocalist who sings in English. The music presented over 6 loooong tracks is a mixture of traditional progressive elements.

Six years ago we offered a debut CD by a promising French nine piece ensemble called Audio'm and then nothing since. The band is back, now slimmed down by two members. Gaïa "Godzilla" is the first of a projected trilogy by the band - hopely it won't take 18 years to complete.

Celeste recorded one of the great prog albums of all time in 1976. Its one of the benchmark albums for Mellotron lovers. This is a surprisingly good collection of leftover tracks, demos, etc. Worthy of your attention.
$17.00 -
Ciro Perrino has resurrected the Celeste name and he's done a superb job of keeping a sound consistent with what we are familiar with - symphonic prog rock with a pastoral feel. He breaks out the whole keyboard arsenal - Mellotron freaks will be happy.
