It seems to me that this is a power metal band that doesn't get enough attention - probably because they are based out of Australia. The music has plenty of that galloping speed element (which I could use less off) but great vocals and melody (which I can never get enough of).

Their previous album, Unia, was pretty much reviled by this Finnish band's fanbase. They moved away from the Stratovarious style speed metal and went for something a bit slower and perhaps a touch more progressive.

By now Finland's Stratovarius has settled into a groove cultivating melodic power metal with neoclassical and symphonic elements. Don't look for any surprises and you won't be disappointed.

German band getting a domestic release after being available only from Japan for some time. Deadly Sin have roots in power and thrash metal but at the same time progressive elements creep in and damn if it isn't melodic as well! Imagine a mix of vintage Metallica, iced Earth and Dream Theater.

Latest from this British power metal band that includes former members of Dragonforce and Arthemis. This is speedy power metal modeled after Stratovarius with upper castrato vocals. Nothing groundbreaking but if you are a fan of the genre I'm certain there is much to mine here.

2CD "Definitive Edition" of the band's fourth studio album. The album is fleshed out with three bonus tracks and a second CD. This one contains instrumental "karaoke" versions of the album as well as live tracks.

First album for this Finnish band, recorded for the Christian based metal label Rivel Records. OK...so is it any good? Well if you are fan of Stratovarius I would think you would go insane for this band. It's melodic power metal with just the right amount of crunch.

Been some time since I've caught up with Eddy Antonini's band. Fairytales is their 7th album and it still features Antonini's ornate keyboards and classical influences but it's blended in with traditional speed metal.
