Danish/turkish one off from this ensemble led by drummer Atilla Engin. I'm not sure I can draw a valid comparison to any other band but I'll try as its a weird, intoxicating concoction. If Return To Forever wrote music for belly dancing it might sound like this.

"Recorded early 1974 at the SWF-Studio in Baden-Baden, Germany by the same line-up, which recorded at the same time the 2nd Missus Beastly album. Improved versions of older titles and some new titles prove the bands great talent for improvisations.

"This was professionaly recorded by Radio Bremen back in 1974 and the sound quality is excellent. One of the big differences between this release and their studio albums is the addition of the great Eddy Marron on guitar.

"This was MISSUS BEASTLY's third studio album released in 1976. If you'll notice on the cover art they have the album's title as such as to look like it's the band's name, and the title of the album looks like it would be "For Missus Beastly".

Smoking fusion served up with a nice touch of weirdness in places - kind of like Return To Forever meets Zappa. Wicked keyboard work that will blow you away. This is hot poop! Highly recommended.

"Norwegian guitarist and composer, Hedvig Mollestad’s last three releases over the past eighteen months have been uniformly excellent, whilst covering a lot of stylistic ground.

"With Maternity Beat, Hedvig Mollestad has surpassed herself, most significantly as a composer and arranger, and delivered her most ambitious work to date. And that´s not a proclamation to be taken lightly.

"After seven albums spearheading Hedvig Mollestad Trio (still very much active!) and three solo albums, the guitarist is here introducing a brand new, exciting trio while breaking some new ground in the process.

Moose Loose was a legendary Norwegian jazz rock/fusion band that cut two fantastic albums in the mid-70s. Until now no one has been able to crack the code to reissue the albums but a Norwegian reissue label got it done - and sourced it from the original master tapes.

One and done band from France that evolved into Chute Libre. Slightly more free than Chute Libre its still very much a jazz rock album but other influences crop up.

"Labyrinth is dark, brooding, beat-heavy, melancholic mood music courtesy of Ian Carr and the Nucleus crew. A favourite of Madlib, it goes without saying that this is one magnificent record.

"RHESUS O were a Jazz/ Rock band from France and this is their sole release from 1971. I was reminded of SOFT MACHINE, MOVING GELATINE PLATES and NUCLEUS.

I had not thought about this album for years so my first surprise was to see it reissued on CD. My second surprise is that it comes to us courtesy of the German label Long Hair Records. Sabicas was one of the world renowned flamenco guitarists.

"Now reissued on vinyl, with remastered sound from the original tapes and a bonus track, it's the second full-length (originally from 1974) by the Danish unit featuring former members of Burnin' Red Ivanhoe, Coronarias Dans and Hurdy Gurdy.

"On vinyl comes a splendid reissue of the 1973 debut-LP by the Danish progressive band with a jazz-rock feel. Secret Oyster's line-up included ex-members of notable groups s.a. Burnin' Red Ivanhoe, Coronarias Dans and Hurdy Gurdy.

"SL's second album came roughly a year later than the debut, by which time the band found a major label (RCA) and changed bassist, enrolling Magma alumni Janik Top, but lost their guitarist as well (not replaced).

This is the second album from the German jazz rock ensemble. Sunbirds was actually an extension of the Klaus Weiss Quartet. Weiss was a very respected drummer on the German jazz scene, recording countless sessions with US and European players.
