The great MPS label is methodically reissuing highlights from their vast catalog on vinyl. Everything is sourced from the original analogue master tapes and sounds wonderful. Lucky for us they decided to focus on George Duke's blazing fusion albums he recorded for them in the early 70s.

Stunning 7 LP box set collects George Duke's best work that he recorded for the MPS label in the mid 70s. Everything has been sourced and cut from the original analogue master tapes (MPS saved all their master tapes). Great sound, pressed in Germany, amazing jazz rock/fusion.

Spectrum was the second solo album, and first for the legendary MPS label from the great German guitarist. Kriegel had done a long stint with The Dave Pike Set before he went off on his own. His solo career went on for many years and he also had a long association with EMI Records.

"Probably a bit closer to a 3.5, but there's something for everyone here... and there are no bad tracks. The opener (written by their bassist Peter Baumeister) is a groovy summery midtempo track with soul-jazz tinges that could probably be a hair less friendly, but it's decent enough.
